The Hospital Authority (HA) today (June 23) announced the appointment of Dr Beatrice Cheng as the Hospital Chief Executive of Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital and Tai Po Hospital.
HA Chief Executive, Mr Shane Solomon, said, ¡§After going through a competitive selection process, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Cheng as the designate Hospital Chief Executive of Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital and Tai Po Hospital. The appointment was approved by the HA Executive Committee.¡¨ Dr Cheng will assume the new position on July 20, 2009.
Dr Beatrice Cheng started her employment in the HA in November 1995. She possesses rich experience in various areas of health service management including service planning and co-ordination at HA Head Office and at cluster level. Dr Cheng was also appointed by the Hong Kong SAR Government as the Medical Co-ordinator for the 2008 Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Equestrian Events which were a great success. Her current position is Chief Manager (Cluster Performance) in HA Head Office.
Mr Solomon wishes Dr Cheng every success in taking up the new challenge.
