Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang, will lead a business delegation to visit Zhaoqing, Huizhou and Dongguan on June 24, 25 and 26 respectively. The visit will complete his tour to the nine cities in the Pearl River Delta. The delegation will meet with leaders of the respective municipal governments and visit selected enterprises. After completing the Dongguan visit on June 26, the delegation will head to Guangzhou on the same day to call on leaders of the provincial government.
The delegation comprises Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Stephen Lam; Secretary for the Environment, Mr Edward Yau; Permanent Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Joshua Law; Permanent Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development (Commerce, Industry and Tourism), Miss Yvonne Choi; and business delegates.
Mr Tang will return to Hong Kong on June 26. In his absence, Secretary for Education, Mr Michael Suen, will be acting Chief Secretary for Administration.
