**********************************************************

The Tuen Mun District Office, Tuen Mun District Council and Department of Health jointly organised a public health talk on the prevention of human swine influenza at Tuen Mun Town Hall today (June 13). More than one hundred residents and representatives of district organisations attended the talk.

The talk aimed to provide the latest information on the disease and the government's contingency measures, as well as health tips, to residents, in the hope that they will share the messages with their families and friends, observe personal, household and environmental hygiene at all times, and work with the Government to fight the pandemic.

At the talk, medical staff of the Department of Health explained the symptoms, mode of transmission, disease management and preventive measures of human swine influenza, and patiently answered questions from the audience.

Disinfectant packs and pamphlets on the prevention of human swine influenza were distributed to participants to help them gain a better understanding of the disease and adopt effective preventive measures.

To help fight the pandemic, the Tuen Mun District Office will continue to work closely with the Tuen Mun District Council to enhance environmental cleanliness and community hygiene through various activities, including visiting single elderly residents and distributing cleaning products to residents.
