Chief Secretary for Administration leads business delegation to Shenzhen

     Chief Secretary for Administration Mr Henry Tang will lead a business delegation to Shenzhen on Tuesday (June 2).  The delegation will meet leaders of the municipal government to understand the implementation of The Outline of the Plan for the Reform and Development of the Pearl River Delta, exchange views on the newly announced comprehensive reform plan for Shenzhen, and explore co-operation opportunities between the two places under the new landscape.

     The delegation comprises representatives from the Greater Pearl River Delta Business Council, major chambers of commerce, professional bodies and industry associations. Government delegates include Permanent Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Joshua Law; Permanent Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Miss Yvonne Choi; and representatives of relevant bureaux and departments.

     Mr Tang will return to Hong Kong the same day.  During his absence, Secretary for Education, Mr Michael Suen, will be acting Chief Secretary for Administration.
