The Director of Food and Environmental Hygiene has ordered a food premises in Tuen Mun to suspend business for 14 days for repeated violations of the Food Business Regulation.
The food premises (ª÷¥Éº¡°ó), at Shop A07, ground floor, Goodrich Garden Shopping Arcade, 9 Leung Tak Street, was ordered to suspend business from today (May 26) to June 8.
"In January and April last year, there were convictions for unauthorised extension of food business and unauthorised addition of heating equipment at the food premises respectively," a Food and Environmental Hygiene Department spokesman said.
"A total fine of $4,100 was levied and 15 demerit points were registered against the licensee under the department's demerit points system. The contraventions resulted in the 14-day business suspension."
He said the food premises also had two convictions in June and September 2007 for unauthorised extension of food business.
"A total fine of $5,000 was levied and 30 demerit points were registered against the licensee. The breaches led to business suspension for seven days from November 22 to 28 in 2007," the spokesman said.
He reminded licensees of food premises to comply with the Food Business Regulation, or their licences could be suspended or cancelled.
