The following is issued on behalf of the Secretariat of the Consultation Panel of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority:
The Consultation Panel of the West Kowloon Cultural District (WKCD) Authority will hold its first meeting next Wednesday (May 27).
The agenda items include:
(1) Arts and cultural software in Hong Kong;
(2) Brief summary of previous consultation exercises on the WKCD development;
(3) Situation update on the WKCD project;
(4) Proposed arrangements for stage 1 public engagement exercise;
(5) Any other business.
The meeting will be held at 10am at the conference room, Hong Kong Arts Development Council, 14/F, East Warwick House, Taikoo Place, 979 King¡¦s Road, Hong Kong. The meeting will be open to the public.
Members of the public interested in attending the meeting are advised to make advance booking of seats at least one working day before the meeting by calling the Secretariat of the Consultation Panel at 3102 2875 during office hours (9am to 1pm and 2pm to 6pm, Monday to Friday). To facilitate booking arrangements, members of the public are required to provide their names and contact numbers. Seats will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Those who have reserved a seat should arrive not later than 15 minutes after the meeting commences, otherwise they will be considered forfeiting their seats.
The agenda and discussion papers of the meeting have been uploaded to the website of the WKCD Authority (http://www.wkcdauthority.hk) and will be made available to the public at the meeting. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided in the meeting.
