SEN visits Seoul (with photos)

     The Secretary for the Environment, Mr Edward Yau, today (May 20) visited Cheonggyecheon Museum in Seoul to learn more about how officials restored an urban stream to provide an eco-friendly and green living space for residents in a densely populated city.

     He took a walk along the stream, Cheonggyecheon, and was briefed on the restoration work and efforts to improve the green environment.

     In the afternoon, he chaired the plenary session on Engaging Stakeholders in the Fight against Climate Change and later attended C40 General Assembly of the C40 Large Cities Climate Summit Seoul 2009.

     He will return to Hong Kong tomorrow after attending the summit press conference and visiting Korea Environment & Resources Corporation.
