A spokesman for the Department of Health said in the 24 hours to noon today (May 15), 25 people fulfilling human swine influenza (Influenza A H1N1) reporting criteria were reported to the Centre for Health Protection (CHP).

"Eight of them tested negative for human swine influenza while laboratory results of the remaining 17 are still pending. They are in stable condition," the spokesman said.

So far, a total of 119 cases fulfilling reporting criteria were received. Among them, 100 tested negative.

Up to 4pm today, the CHP's hotline 2125 1111 had received 2,258 calls since it was set up on April 30.
