Draft Urban Renewal Authority Prince Edward Road West / Yuen Ngai Street Development Scheme Plan published

     The Town Planning Board today (May 8) announced the publication of the draft Urban Renewal Authority (URA) Prince Edward Road West/Yuen Ngai Street Development Scheme Plan (DSP).

     The scheme area covers about 1,440 square metres and is designated as "Other Specified Uses" annotated "Shophouses for Commercial and/or Cultural Uses". It is intended for the preservation and adaptive re-use of the shophouses for commercial and/or cultural uses to serve the needs of the public.  

     In accordance with section 25(9) of the URA Ordinance, the draft DSP replaces the draft Mong Kok Outline Zoning Plan in relation to the area delineated and described in the draft DSP.  

     The draft URA Prince Edward Road West/Yuen Ngai Street DSP No S/K3/URA2/1 is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters in North Point and Sha Tin, the Tsuen Wan and West Kowloon District Planning Office and the Yau Tsim Mong District Office.

     Any person can make written representations in respect of the draft DSP to the Secretary of the Town Planning Board on or before July 8.  Representations made to the Town Planning Board will be available for public inspection.

     Copies of the draft DSP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the DSP can be viewed on the Town Planning Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb/).
