Modifications to Sheung Shui-Sha Tin cycle tracks gazetted

     The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (May 8) on modifications to works on the authorised cycle tracks connecting the North West of the New Territories with the North East part - the section from Sheung Shui to Sha Tin and associated cycling facilities for recreational development.

     The modifications include reduction in the resumption limit; realignment of cycle tracks for the concerned section; increase of the width for the concerned access road section and provision of sufficient number of passing bays to facilitate the manoeuvring of vehicles.

     The construction works will start in late 2009 for completion by mid 2012.

     The modification plans of the works are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:

(i)  Central and Western District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Unit 5, Ground Floor, The Center, 99 Queen's Road Central;

(ii) Sha Tin District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Ground Floor, Sha Tin Government Offices, 1 Sheung Wo Che Road, Sha Tin;

(iii) Tai Po District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Ground Floor, Tai Po Government Offices Building, 1 Ting Kok Road, Tai Po;

(iv) North District Office, 3rd Floor, North District Government Offices, 3 Pik Fung Road, Fanling;

(v)  District Lands Office, North, 6th Floor, North District Government Offices, 3 Pik Fung Road, Fanling;

(vi) District Lands Office, Tai Po, 1st Floor, Tai Po Government Offices, Ting Kok Road, Tai Po; and

(vii) District Lands Office, Shatin, 11th Floor, Sha Tin Government Offices, 1 Sheung Wo Che Road, Sha Tin.
