The Legislative Council Secretariat will hold its annual Blood Donation tomorrow (May 6). Members of the public are invited to join this meaningful event with Legco Members to donate blood in the Legco Building.
A mobile collection team of the Hong Kong Red Cross will be stationed in the Dining Hall of the LegCo Building between 2.45pm and 5.15pm tomorrow to facilitate blood donations by Legco Members, Legco Secretariat staff members and members of the public.
Interested parties should register at the reception counter at Public Entrance II (adjacent to the Statue Square) of the Legco Building before participating in the blood donation. The Legislative Council Building is located at 8 Jackson Road, Central.
The first Blood Donation activity was held in 1988. To encourage more people to take part in this event, the Legislature started inviting members of the public to come to the building to give blood with Legco Members in 1993. Over the years, more than 550 Legco Members, staff and members of the public have donated their blood in the building to help those in need.
