Lodgers of Metropark Hotel moved to holiday village
***************************************************

A spokesman for the Department of Health today (May 2) said a total of 12 Metropark Hotel guests who were not willing to stay in the hotel had moved to Lady MacLehose Holiday Village in Sai Kung.

The Director of Health issued an isolation order to the hotel following the confirmation of the first human swine flu (Influenza A H1N1) case in Hong Kong which involved a man who stayed in the hotel after arriving Hong Kong.

Staff and guests were required to stay either in the hotel or holiday villages which were used as isolation centres until the end of the isolation order.

The operation was jointly carried out by the Department of Health, the Police, Government Logistics Department and Auxiliary Medical Services.

Residents would be provided with daily necessities and food during their stay at the holiday village. They would also be given regular medical checks.
