The Transport Department today (May 2) reminded the public that to facilitate a flag raising ceremony and cultural activities to be held from 7.30am to 11.15am on Monday (May 4) at Golden Bauhinia Square, Wan Chai, special transport arrangements would be implemented at Expo Drive East.
The bus terminus and taxi stand at Expo Drive East will be suspended from 6am to 9am. All metered parking spaces for coaches will also be suspended from 6am to 1pm. During the period of suspension of the bus terminus, the bus terminus of City Bus Routes 25A and 25C and Cross Harbour Bus Route 961 will be temporarily relocated to Wan Chai Ferry Pier Bus Terminus and the affected routes will omit Expo Drive East.
Members of the public who plan to go to the affected area are advised to use public transport. In cases of traffic congestion, motorists should exercise tolerance and patience, and follow the instructions of the Police. The public should be alert to the latest traffic news on radio and television.
