************************************************************

The Transport Department today (May 1) reminded the public that a public procession would be held at about 10.30am from Southorn Playground, Wan Chai, to Exchange Square, Central, on Sunday (May 3). To facilitate the procession, the slow lane along the procession route which includes Hennessy Road westbound, Queensway westbound, Queen's Road Central westbound, Des Voeux Road Central westbound, Connaught Place and Man Yiu Street will be intermittently closed.

In addition, the bus stops, public light bus stops and taxi pick up/drop off points along the procession route will also be temporarily suspended. Commuters are advised to take note of the instructions of the Police and the public transport operators.

Members of the public who plan to go to the affected areas are advised to use public transport. In cases of traffic congestion, motorists should exercise tolerance and patience, and follow instructions of the Police. Motorists and the public should be alert to the latest traffic news on radio and television.
