SEN on his second day of visit to Washington DC (with photos)

     The Secretary for the Environment, Mr Edward Yau, today (April 30, Washington DC time) completed his visit to Washington DC, in the United States.

     In the morning, Mr Yau visited the US Green Building Council and met the Chief Operating Officer Mr Chris Smith who  briefed him on various energy-saving measures.

     Mr Yau then took part in a panel discussion under the topic " Turning crisis into opportunity - green investment and energy cooperation" at the Hong Kong-US Business Council Plenary.

     In the afternoon, he called on the Chinese Ambassador to the United States, Mr Zhou Wenzhong.

     Mr Yau also met the Deputy Administrator of the US Environmental Protection Agency, Mr Scott Fulton to exchange views on environmental protection issues before leaving for Boston in the evening.
