The Government published in the Gazette today (April 30) a notice on modifications to works on cycle tracks connecting the North West of the New Territories with the North East part ¡V Section from Tuen Mun to Sheung Shui.
The proposed amendments are made to ease the effect of the project on the public. They involve revision of the proposed limit of works area; deletion of sections of the proposed cycle tracks, footpaths/staircases and bridges from the junction of Castle Peak Road ¡VSan Tin and San Tin Tsuen Road to Pak Shek Au Interchange; deletion of the proposed ancillary works associated with the above amendments, such as water, drainage, sewerage and installation of traffic aids, etc; and deletion of the proposed resumption of some portions of lots.
The amendment plans and scheme are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:
(i) Central and Western District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Unit 5, Ground Floor, The Center, 99 Queen's Road Central;
(ii) Yuen Long District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Ground Floor, Yuen Long District Office Building, 269 Castle Peak Road, Yuen Long;
(iii) District Lands Office, Yuen Long, 9th floor, Yuen Long Government Offices, 2 Kiu Lok Square, Yuen Long;
(iv) Tuen Mun District Office, 2nd Floor, Tuen Mun Government Offices, 1 Tuen Hi Road, Tuen Mun;
(v) District Lands Office, Tuen Mun, 6th and 7th Floors, Tuen Mun Government Offices,1 Tuen Hi Road, Tuen Mun;
(vi) North District Office,3rd Floor, North District Government Offices, 3 Pik Fung Road, Fanling; and
(vii) District Lands Office, North, 6th Floor, North District Government Offices, 3 Pik Fung Road, Fanling.
Any person who wishes to object to the proposed works or the use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16th floor, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, on or before June 29.
