Short-term improvement measures at Golden Beach in Tuen Mun

     The Government will construct two temporary sand protection groynes of approximately 50 metres and 65 metres long and three metres wide at Golden Beach, Tuen Mun, for mitigating sand loss so as to maintain the operational services of Golden Beach.

     The work, which will affect about 2.17 hectares of foreshore and seabed, is scheduled to begin in July for completion by September.

     The extent of the area affected is described in a notice published in the Government Gazette today (April 24).

     The notice together with its related plan can be seen on notice boards posted near the site.  The plan can also be seen at the Lands Department Survey and Mapping Office, 23rd floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point; and at the Public Enquiry Service Centre of the Tuen Mun District Office on 2nd floor, 1 Tuen Hi Road, Tuen Mun.

     Any person who considers that they have an interest, right or easement in or over the foreshore and seabed involved may submit a written objection to the Director of Lands, 20th floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, by June 24.
