The Lands Department registered 36 lease modifications in the Land Registry during the quarter ending March 2009, of which 29 were for residential purpose and seven for non-residential developments.
Among these 36 land transactions, 18 are located on Hong Kong Island, 13 in Kowloon and five in the New Territories. The transactions exclude Small House cases.
Another four lots were granted by private treaty during the period. They were granted to the Hong Kong Housing Authority in respect of existing public housing developments.
A spokesman for the Lands Department said today (April 16) that the 40 land transactions realised a total land premium of about $5.20 million.
Transaction records of the lease modifications, land exchanges and private treaty grants including those registered recently are uploaded onto the Lands Department's website (www.landsd.gov.hk) on a monthly basis. Further case details may also be obtained by searching the registered documents directly in the Land Registry.
