Following is English summary of the opening remarks by the Secretary for Transport and Housing, Ms Eva Cheng, at the media briefing on financing arrangements for the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge today (April 14):
Today we are very glad to announce with the governments of Guangdong and Macao that with the top rigorous open tender exercise and with the help of the independent financial consultant, we have selected the Bank of China as the lead bank for arranging loan financing for the main bridge of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, to signify that we have reached an important milestone for the project.
The financing arrangements offered by the Bank of China are extremely attractive. We are very happy to have a chance to cooperate with the bank.
