Thailand-bound Hong Kong travellers should consider adjusting their travel plans (April 11)(5pm)
****************************************************

In view of the declaration of the state of emergency in Pattaya and the province of Chonburi by the Thai Government, a Government spokesman today (April 11) advises Hong Kong residents who plan to visit these two places to consider adjusting their travel plans.

Those who are already there should avoid places of protests and large gatherings of people. They should also consider whether they should leave.

Residents who need assistance while outside Hong Kong may call the 24-hour hotline of the Assistance to Hong Kong Residents Unit of the Immigration Department at (852) 1868.
