In response to media enquiries on a press report concerning the contract renewal for his foreign domestic helper, the Under Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, made the following statement today (April 9):
"I am aware of the press report today concerning the contract renewal for my foreign domestic helper. I acknowledge that I am not careful enough in handling the matter. However, I never had any intention of seeking special treatment. I apologise for having caused any inconvenience to my colleagues and possible public concern."
