Police are investigating a traffic accident in Kwun Tong this morning (April 8) in which a 20-year-old man was killed.
A light goods vehicle driven by a 23-year-old man was travelling westbound on Cha Kwo Ling Road at 11.20am. Outside Hoi Chu House when making a right turn, it is believed to have hit a medium goods vehicle which was parked on the road, and then hit another light goods vehicle which was parked on eastbound Cha Kwo Ling Road.
The driver sustained injuries and was taken to the United Christian Hospital. A 20-year-old male passenger who was thrown from the vehicle, sustained serious head injuries and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was certified dead at 11.50am.
Investigations by the Special Investigation Team, Traffic Kowloon East, are under way.
