The Secretary for the Environment, Mr Edward Yau, left Hong Kong today (April 1) for a three-day duty visit to Beijing.
Mr Yau will first visit the Ministry of Environmental Protection and meet Vice-Minister of Environmental Protection Mr Zhou Jian to exchange views on how to collaborate in transforming the Pearl River Delta Region into a green and quality living area.
Tomorrow (April 2), he will meet the Administrator of the National Energy Administration, Mr Zhang Guobao, and Vice-Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission Mr Xie Zhenhua. He will also call on the Deputy Director of the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, Mr Zhou Bo, and Vice-Minister of Land and Resources Mr Wang Min in the afternoon.
Mr Yau will meet the Vice Administrator of the State Oceanic Administration, Mr Wang Fei, on Friday (April 3) and later have lunch with him.
