Photo competition to mark CEDD's fifth anniversary

     The Civil Engineering and Development Department will hold a photo competition from tomorrow (March 16) to mark the fifth anniversary of the department in July.

     "The public is invited to participate in the competition, themed 'Excellent engineering works bring you a better living environment'," a spokesman for CEDD said today (March 15).

     "The photo competition aims to promote community awareness of the infrastructure developments undertaken by CEDD, the elegance of these projects and the quality living environment that they will bring."

     The competition comprises two categories - the "open category" and the "secondary students category". The open category welcomes everyone, while the secondary students category" is open only to full time secondary students of Form 7 or below. Entries can be either film photos or digital photos.

     "Each category has champion, first runner-up, second runner-up and merit prizes.  Results of the competition will be announced around the end of May. Winning entries will be displayed during a roving exhibition for the CEDD's fifth anniversary," the spokesman said.

     All entries should be submitted to the address indicated on the entry form by hand before 5pm on April 30 or by post on or before April 30 (the postmark date will be regarded as the date of delivery).
