S for S to visit Singapore

     The Secretary for Security, Mr Ambrose S K Lee, will leave Hong Kong on Monday (March 16) for a duty visit to Singapore.

     He will meet his counterparts responsible for law and order, including Singaporeˇ¦s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Mr Wong Kan Seng. He will also visit the local law enforcement agencies, including police, prison service, immigration and narcotics.

     On Tuesday (March 17), Mr Lee will attend the opening of Global Security Asia 2009 organised by Singaporeˇ¦s Ministry of Home Affairs. Global Security Asia 2009, an international conference and exhibition, is a global platform for governments, academia, research and the homeland security industry to share experiences and exchange expertise on fighting terrorism.

     Mr Lee will return to Hong Kong on next Thursday (March 19).
