The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (March 10) that the heated main pool of Yuen Long Swimming Pool had been temporarily closed for cleaning and superchlorination following the discovery of a small amount of faeces.
As the heated main pool is the only pool open at Yuen Long Swimming Pool since last November, the venue is now temporarily closed. It will reopen at 8pm today.
The department appeals to swimmers to be considerate and to keep swimming pools clean. They are advised not to swim after a full meal and should use the toilet facilities if necessary before swimming.
