All URBTIX services resume
**************************

A spokesman for the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) announced this morning (March 3) that full URBTIX services, including counter booking services at all 36 URBTIX outlets, telephone reservation and Internet booking, have resumed.

URBTIX services were temporarily suspended at 10am yesterday (March 2) due to a system problem. Initial investigations by the service contractor revealed that the interruption was caused by the malfunction of the Domain Name System (DNS) of the URBTIX System. Services of URBTIX outlets and telephone reservation resumed at 3.30pm yesterday, while service for Internet booking resumed at 1am today. The department apologises for any inconvenience caused to patrons.

It was the first time that the suspension of URBTIX services was caused by a DNS breakdown. The department has asked the service contractor for an investigation report and to draw up improvement measures to prevent similar incidents in future.
