Murder and wounding in Hung Hom

    Police today (February 24) arrested a 51-year-old man suspected to be in connection with a murder and wounding case that happened in Hung Hom this afternoon in which a 53-year-old man died and a 43-year-old woman injured.

    About 1.05pm, Police received a report that the 51-year-old man armed with a knife has attacked the deceased and the woman outside 259 To Kwa Wan Road.

    Sustaining serious injuries, the 53-year-old man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he was certified dead at 1.45pm. The 43-year-old woman sustained upper and lower limbs injuries and was also sent to the hospital for medical treatment.

    A post-mortem examination will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of the man¡¦s death.

    The 51-year-old man was arrested for murder and wounding and is still being detained for further enquiries.

    Active investigations by District Crime Squad, Kowloon City are underway.
