A multi-media centre has been added to the website for consultation on amendments to the Land Titles Ordinance (LTO) to boost public awareness of the new title registration system to be introduced and its bearing on everyday life.
Land Registrar, Mr Kim Salkeld, said today (February 15) that the multi-media centre, featuring a newly launched television series ˇ§History of Hong Kong Landsˇ¨, helps the general public to know more about the land registration system in Hong Kong in an innovative and lively way. People can also understand better the security of property rights, review the development of the land registration system and understand the importance of the coming reform, the new title registration system.
Jointly produced by the Land Registry and Radio Television Hong Kong, the TV series comprises 10 episodes and is aired on TVB Jade every Wednesday at 7pm from February 11 to April 15. It can also be viewed online and reviewed on the RTHK website.
Mr Salkeld reminded people that the three-month consultation period on amendments to the LTO would be ending on March 31. People can send in their views by emailing (kfpang@landreg.gov.hk), faxing 3520 2754 or mailing the Land Registry, 28/F, Queensway Government Offices, 66 Queensway, Hong Kong.
