The processing time for applications for Hong Kong Special Administrative Region passports of children under the age of 11 not holding Hong Kong permanent identity cards will be reduced to 14 working days from February 16.
An Immigration spokesman said today (February 4) that the new processing time, down from the current 19 working days, excluded weekends and public holidays.
Applications received before February 16 would still require 19 working days’ processing time. The reduction in processing time was to enhance customer service, an Immigration Department spokesman said today (February 4).
The relevant application channels, application requirements and fees will remain unchanged.
