The Correctional Services Department (CSD) announced today (January 30) that Assistant Commissioner Mr Sin Yat-kin would assume the post of Deputy Commissioner on Monday (February 2), succeeding Mr Ying Kwok-ching.
Mr Ying will proceed on pre-retirement leave on the same day after 34 years of service with the department.
Mr Sin joined the department (previously the Prisons Department) in 1979 as Officer. He was appointed as Assistant Commissioner in May 2005.
The department also announced the promotion of Mr Law Wai-fung to Chief Superintendent and Mr Leung Po-kai to Senior Superintendent of Correctional Services.
Mr Law joined the department as Officer in 1974 and is currently the Chief Superintendent of Stanley Prison.
Mr Leung is currently the Senior Superintendent (Integrated Technology). He joined the department as Officer in 1979.
