Two dead, four injured in Yuen Long traffic accident

     Two girls died and four other young women were seriously injured in a traffic accident in Yuen Long last night (January 29)

     About 11.30pm, a private car driven by a 19-year-old woman was travelling along Tai Shu Ha Road West towards Yuen Long, while approaching Nam Hang Tsuen, it reportedly lost control and rammed into a medium goods vehicle (MGV) which parked at road side.

     The driver and five female passengers aged between 14 and 17 were seriously injured and sent to Pok Oi Hospital and Tuen Mun Hospital respectively. Two 14-year-old passengers were later certified dead at Pok Oi Hospital at 12.11am and 12.25am.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North, are underway. Anyone who saw the accident is urged to contact the investigating officers on 2675 3325.
