The Labour Department will hold a two-day job fair on G/F, Hall of Tin Yiu Community Centre, Tin Yiu Estate, Tin Shui Wai, Yuen Long on Monday and Tuesday (January 5 and 6) from 11am to 6pm.
Nineteen companies will participate on each day. The 38 companies will set up counters and offer more than 4,000 vacancies for on-the-spot recruitment. Companies participating in the job fair come from various industries including catering, retail, business service and property management. Vacancies offered cover a wide variety of positions such as shop supervisor, cook, waiter/waitress, shop assistant, sales, customer service officer, security guard and clerk. Job seekers who want to know more about the vacancies may click to the department's website on Interactive Employment Service (www.jobs.gov.hk).
The majority of the vacancies offer a monthly salary ranging from more than $4,000 to $10,000 and 70% of the vacancies offered are full-time jobs. About 97% of these vacancies require Form 5 educational level or below. More than 70% of them are open to job seekers without relevant experience. Job seekers can submit applications on the spot and may be selected for on-site interviews. The Labour Department will conduct on-the-spot registration for job seekers.
Admission is free-of-charge. All members of the public are welcome.
