The Chief Executive of the Hospital Authority, Mr Shane Solomon, today (January 2) received the Investigation Report from Caritas Medical Centre (CMC) regarding the handling of an incident in which a man collapsed in the vicinity of the hospital.
The Hospital Authority will study in detail the investigation findings and improvement measures of the report, and also consider the necessary follow-up action.
"In view of public concerns of the incident, we have decided to publish the report in full to the general public next Monday after our thorough review. The report will also be submitted to the Secretary for Food and Health," Mr Solomon said.
"A copy of the report will be sent to the family of the deceased next Monday for information. We would like to again express our deepest condolences and also apologise for the confusion and anxiety to the family."
