The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (January 2) on proposed amendments to the roadworks associated with the development of Ma Wan Park on Ma Wan Island.
The amendments are made to revise the alignment of the originally proposed road and emergency vehicular access serving the development of Ma Wan Park. They include revision of the proposed limit of the works area; addition of a single two-way carriageway of approximately 8.5 metres wide with associated footpaths at the south of Lantau Link; addition of a hammer head and loading/unloading area with associated footpaths at the north entrance of the Ma Wan Park; revision of the emergency vehicular access with newly proposed reclamation area; deletion of sections of the originally proposed roads and footpaths; deletion of resumption of private lots; modification of permanent closure of sections of the existing footpaths; and modification of ancillary works including drainage, slope and landscaping works, and construction of road lighting and retaining walls.
The amendment plan and scheme are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:
(i) Central and Western District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Unit 5, G/F, The Center, 99 Queen's Road Central;
(ii) Tsuen Wan District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, 1st Floor, Tsuen Wan Station Multi-storey Carpark Building, 174-208 Castle Peak Road, Tsuen Wan; and
(iii) District Lands Office, Tsuen Wan and Kwai Tsing, 10th Floor, Tsuen Wan Station Multi-storey Carpark Building, 174-208 Castle Peak Road, Tsuen Wan.
Any person who wishes to object to the proposed amendments should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16th Floor, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, on or before March 3.
