Immigration Department continues to seek information on fire in Bangkok

     The Immigration Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) has been in a close contact with the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in Hong Kong (OCMFA) and the Chinese Embassy in Thailand for further information on a fire in a nightclub at Bangkok, Thailand, a government spokesman said today (January 1).

     The spokesman said, "We will continue to keep close contact with OCMFA and the Chinese Embassy in Thailand for further information about the fire. So far, there have been no reports that Hong Kong residents are involved."
