Appeal for information on baby body found in Chek Lap Kok (with photo)

     Police are appealing for information on a case in which the body of a baby boy was found in Chek Lap Kok yesterday (December 25).

     About 9 am on December 25, a 31-year-old man found a baby body lying on a rock along the shore of Chek Lap Kok South Road and reported the case to the Police.

     Police officers sped to the scene and located the body of the baby boy who was wearing a white cloth vest with star pattern. Measuring 52 centimetres in length, the baby boy was about one month old. The body had no superficial injuries and started to decompose.  

     A post-mortem will be conducted on Monday (December 29) to ascertain the cause of the baby's death.

     Investigations by Divisional Investigation Team of Airport District are proceeding. Anyone who saw the incident or who has any information to offer is urged to contact the investigating officers on 2106 7052 or 2106 7061.
