The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:
Regarding the handling by Caritas Medical Centre of a patient who
collapsed at Wing Hong Street yesterday, the spokesperson of the
Hospital Authority today (December 21) has the following response:
The Hospital Authority is deeply concerned about the incident and
expresses the deepest condolence to the family of the deceased
patient.
Caritas Medical Centre is required to conduct a thorough investigation and submit a report to the Hospital Authority, within one week, regarding the incident and related issues including the procedures and hospital guidelines in handling public in seeking assistance from
hospitals, resuscitation equipment and training.
