The Leisure and Cultural Services Department today (December 17) announced that the Hong Kong Central Library, most public libraries and Mobile Libraries 2 to 10 would close at 5pm on Christmas Eve (December 24) and New Year's Eve (December 31) while the library at North Lamma would close at 4.30pm on both days.
South Lamma Public Library will be closed on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve as both days fall on its regular close day. Mobile Library 1 will be suspended during the period due to routine inspection and servicing.
On Christmas Day (December 25), Boxing Day (December 26) and New Year's Day (January 1), all public and mobile libraries as well as students' study rooms will be closed.
