The awards presentation ceremony of the Basic Law Slogan/Couplet Competition organised for the industrial, commercial and professional sectors was held today (December 6) at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
This competition was organised by the Working Group on Industrial, Commercial and Professional Sectors under the Basic Law Promotion Steering Committee and supported by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Its purpose was to enhance the understanding of and interest in the Basic Law.
Response to the competition was encouraging. The winner, first runner-up and second runner-up were Hong Kong & Kowloon Rubber Tyres Commercial General Association Ltd., Kaihon Garments Limited and Smartco Textiles Limited respectively. There were also 10 winners of merit prizes. Enjoying the competition and happy to be awarded, the winner hoped that similar functions would be organised in the future.
