Traffic arrangements for Sham Shui Po computer festival

Police will implement special traffic arrangements in Sham Shui Po starting tomorrow (December 3) to facilitate the holding of a computer festival in the vicinity of Fuk Wa Street, Fuk Wing Street and Kweilin Street from December 5 to 8.

Special traffic arrangements will be implemented from 8pm tomorrow to 12pm on December 9.

(A) Road closure and pedestrianization schemes
The following road sections will be temporarily closed and designated as full-time pedestrian zones:

(a) A section of Fuk Wa Street between Yen Chow Street and Nam Cheong Street;
(b) A section of Kweilin Street between Fuk Wa Street and Fuk Wing Street;
(c) A section of Pei Ho Street between Fuk Wa Street and Fuk Wing Street; and
(d) A section of Fuk Wing Street between Kweilin Street and Pei Ho Street.

(B) Special traffic arrangements
(aĦ^All vehicles from eastbound Fuk Wa Street will be banned to go straight across its junction with Yen Chow Street. Affected vehicles on Fuk Wa Street heading for Kweilin Street will be diverted via southbound Yen Chow Street, eastbound Cheung Sha Wan Road, northbound Nam Cheong Street, westbound Un Chau Street, southbound Yen Chow Street and eastbound Fuk Wing Street to Kweilin Street;
(b) All vehicles from southbound Yen Chow Street will be banned to turn left onto Fuk Wa Street. Affected vehicles on Fuk Wah Street heading for Kweilin Street will be diverted via eastbound Fuk Wing Street to Kweilin Street;
(c) A 24-hour no-stopping restricted zone will be designated at the southern kerbside lane of Un Chau Street between Yen Chow Street and Kweilin Street and all picking up/setting down passengers or loading/unloading goods activities will be prohibited;
(d) A goods loading/unloading zone will be set up temporarily at the southern kerbside lane of Un Chau Street between Pei Ho Street and Nam Cheong Street; and
(e)The existing disabled parking spaces in Fuk Wing Street near No.117-123 will be temporarily relocated to Kweilin Street near No.46.

(C) Bus stops and public Light Bus (PLB) and Taxi stands:

(a) The existing PLB stands on Kweilin Street between Un Chau Street and Fuk Wing Street and on Fuk Wing Street between Yen Chow Street and Kweilin Street will be temporarily relocated to Fuk Wa Street between Yen Chow Street and Kiu Kiang Street near No.174-194;                                               
(b)The existing taxi pick-up/drop-off point in Yen Chow Street outside Golden Computer Centre will be temporarily relocated to Un Chau Street near its junction with Kweilin Street; and
(c)The exiting bus stop in Un Chau Street near No.21-23 will be temporarily relocated to Un Chau Street near No.55-57.

Visitors are urged to take heed of Police instructions at the scene.
