Members of the public are invited to join the GovHK Creative Media Competition and submit the entry form before Friday (December 5).
Jointly organised by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer and eTVonline of Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK), the competition is to heighten public awareness of GovHK (www.gov.hk), the Government one-stop portal, and provide an opportunity for participants to show their creativity.
Participants are required to produce a Cantonese radio drama or short videos or animated short videos using GovHK as the theme to encourage more people to make use of the website for obtaining information and services.
Primary school students may enter the radio drama competition while the short video competition is open to secondary school students and other interested parties. All participants are required to attend a workshop in January 2009 where they can learn production techniques from experienced radio drama, television and film producers. The deadline for submission of entries is February 7, 2009.
Entries will be judged on criteria including creativity, presentation and production techniques. Winning productions will be uploaded on GovHK and the RTHK website for public viewing.
Launched in 2007, GovHK provides a one-stop portal where the public can easily access frequently sought online government information and services which cover all daily matters from job searching to hiring of domestic helpers.
