************************************************************

At the invitation of the Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, a delegation of the Shenzhou-7 manned space mission will arrive in Hong Kong on December 5 (Friday) for a four-day visit.

Mr Tsang said he was delighted with the visit and grateful to the Central People's Government for the arrangements.

"The historic spacewalk mission accomplished by Shenzhou-7 marks a milestone in China's manned space programme. Through the visit, members of the public will be able to share the joy brought about by the breakthrough in China's manned space industry and learn from the astronauts their resilience and perseverance," Mr Tsang said.

The delegation will meet various sectors in the community, including students and youth, to enhance public and in particular young people's interest in and knowledge of China's aerospace technology development.

The Home Affairs Bureau is coordinating the delegation's itinerary, which will be announced separately.
