The Geotechnical Engineering Office (GEO) of the Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) will hold a two-day slope safety exhibition at Yat Tung Shopping Centre, Tung Chung, New Territories, from tomorrow (November 27).
The exhibition will be held daily from noon to 8pm. Through display panels, video shows and an information kiosk, it will convey to visitors the importance of slope safety and proper maintenance, and precautionary measures that the public should take during heavy rain. Information on landslides and landslip warnings will also be on display.
A geotechnical engineer from the Community Advisory Unit of GEO will meet the public on-site from 4pm to 7pm on Friday (November 28) to answer questions on slope safety and maintenance. There will also be a quiz and games to help the public better understand slope safety and maintenance.
