The City Art Square, a joint project of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and Sun Hung Kai Properties Charitable Fund was recently presented with the "Cityscape Architectural Award" in Dubai. A celebration was held today (November 20) to honour the award.
Located at the Sha Tin Town Hall Plaza, the art square features 19 uniquely-styled creative sculptures and public art installations by renowned international and local artists Zaha Hadid, Vivienne Tam, Dennis Oppenheim, Mimmo Paladino, WOKmedia, Tom Thiel, Nina Jobs, Joaquin Gasgonia Palencia, Mathias Bengtsson, Xu Bing, Zhang Yu, Barrie Ho, Freeman Lau, James Law, Danny Lee, Sara Tse, Mok Yat-san and Man Fung-yi, which blend with surroundings and offer an artistic and elegant ambience to the public area.
