Sichuan delegation visits Hong Kong

     In response to media enquiries on the visit by a delegation from Sichuan Province to Hong Kong, a Government spokesman said that the delegation, led by the Sichuan Party Secretary Mr Liu Qibao, had arrived today (November 10) for a two-day visit.
     
     Mr Liao will be meeting the Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, while the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang, will host a luncheon tomorrow to welcome the delegation at the Hong Kong Jockey Club Clubhouse, Shan Kwong Road.

     The spoksman said, "One of the objectives of the delegation's visit is to thank the Hong Kong community for their participation in post-quake rescue and reconstruction efforts.

     "People from different sectors, including Executive Council Non-official Members, Legislative Council Members, District Council Chairmen, and representatives of Government departments and non-government organisations which have taken part in post-quake efforts will attend the luncheon."
