The Labour Department will stage a job fair at Metro City Plaza II on November 12 (Wednesday), providing more than 2,100 vacancies for job seekers.
Twenty-three companies mainly from the catering and retail industries will set up counters for on-the-spot recruitment. Vacancies offered cover a wide variety of positions such as shop supervisor, cook, waiter/waitress, shop assistant, sales, customer service officer and security guard. Job seekers who want to know more about the vacancies may visit the department's website on Interactive Employment Service (www.jobs.gov.hk).
About 74% of the vacancies offered are full-time jobs. The majority of the vacancies offer a monthly salary ranging from $ 5,400 to $10,000. Around 95% of these vacancies require Form 5 educational level or below. Around 90% of them are open to job seekers without relevant experience. Job seekers may submit applications on the spot and may be selected for on-site interviews. The Labour Department will conduct on-the-spot registration for job seekers.
The job fair will be held from 11am to 6pm at Level 1 Atrium, Metro City Plaza II, 8 Yan King Road, Tseung Kwan O. Admission is free.
