Megabite Hong Kong Ltd today (November 1) announced the grand opening of its fourth food court, Food Republic Olympian City, in Olympian City II, Kowloon. This food court is its third new outlet in Hong Kong this year.
Managing Director of Megabite Hong Kong Ltd, Mr Jenson Ong, said, "Through our continued efforts and investment in Hong Kong, the image of Food Republic as an innovative catering brand has been firmly established here. Since 2005, the opening of our four food courts in Hong Kong -- Food Republic Cityplaza, Food Republic Citygate, Food Republic Silvercord and now Food Republic Olympian City -- signifies our confidence in Hong Kong's food and beverage industry."
Food Republic Olympian City has also adopted the "food atrium" concept which has been a success at Food Republic Citygate. This concept is a crossover between self-serviced dining food stalls and mini restaurants, offering a diversity of Asian delicacies that delivers a higher level of dining experience.
Food Republic Olympian City offers the first "European Theme" food atrium in Hong Kong. Its design resembles an European street, with 13 food operators -- including 11 self-serviced dining food stalls, one mini restaurant and one Cafˆm -- forming the 13,000-square-foot food court, with 480 seats. Each food stall features a 7-8m double-storey design with a high-ceiling, which enlarges the dimension of the stalls and the food court as a whole.
Commenting on their rapid business expansion, Mr Ong appreciated InvestHK's help over the years. In addition to attracting overseas and Mainland companies to invest in Hong Kong, providing assistance to existing overseas and Mainland companies in town for business expansion is an important role for InvestHK.
