Members of the public are welcome to join the ¡§Sham Shui Po Service Expo - Road to Happiness!¡¨ event on Sunday (November 2) to get to know various social welfare services available in the Sham Shui Po District.
Organised by the Sham Shui Po District Social Welfare Office of the Social Welfare Department, the Service Expo which will feature a social service exhibition, activity-based corner, stage performance and sharing sessions by celebrities.
The Service Expo aims at raising the awareness of local residents of various social welfare services so that they will know how to seek appropriate and timely assistance when it is necessary. It will meanwhile drive home the thematic messages of ¡§Stop Domestic Violence¡¨, ¡§Support to Family¡¨, ¡§Towards Self-Reliance¡¨ and ¡§Neighbourliness & Social Integration¡¨.
With the participation of 30 non-governmental welfare organisations, government departments, residents¡¦ organisations and volunteer groups, the Service Expo provides a platform for fostering cross-service, cross-sector and inter-departmental collaboration in promoting community cohesiveness, combating domestic violence, and establishing a harmonious and family-friendly community and supportive neighbourhood.
The ¡§Sham Shui Po Service Expo - Road to Happiness!¡¨ will be held from noon to 6pm on Sunday (November 2) at Maple Street Playground, Cheung Sha Wan Road, Sham Shui Po, Kowloon. Entry is free.
