Employer fined for breaching MPFS Ordinance

The following is issued on behalf of the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority:
An employer was fined $5,000 at the Kwun Tong Magistracy today (October 23), after being convicted of an offence under the Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Ordinance.
The defendant, Yeung Ho Chuen trading as Chuen Hing Poultry Company was charged under section 7(1) of the ordinance and was found guilty of failing to enrol one employee in MPF schemes as required by the ordinance.
